I have recently realized that I am either ahead of the fashion trends or hopelessly behind the trends. For the last 10 or 15 years I have had a had time finding a "cross-body" pocketbook.

There was one shop in downtown Manhattan (The Bag Shop) that carried this type of bag. It wasn't much of a problem when I was working, but since I've been retired it was more difficult. Lately, I've been getting tired of using this type of pocketbook, especially when I wear a coat with a hood. So I bought a couple of pocketbooks with simple handles.

I'm keeping my old pocketbooks. They're very useful in places where I need to have my hands free for shopping.

But, I've just seen on QVC that they are showing more and more "cross-body" bags. It's a new trend and very practical.
